Join the Burgess Hill Marching Youth for an Unforgettable Evening of Music and Talent! an evening filled with music, energy, and excitement as the Burgess Hill Marching Youth (BHMY) proudly presents their highly anticipated performance on Saturday, 29th November at 7:30 pm. This is more than just a concert; it’s a celebration of our community’s young talent and the enduring spirit of tradition that has been cultivated since the band’s formation in 1986.
About the Burgess Hill Marching Youth: The BHMY is an independent, traditional-style youth marching band that has become a cornerstone of Burgess Hill and the surrounding areas. With a rich history spanning over three decades, the band is composed of more than 50 dedicated members, primarily children and young people, who have worked tirelessly to hone their skills under the guidance of experienced adult instructors.
Each week, these talented youngsters dedicate 2-4 hours to music and marching tuition, developing not only their musical abilities but also learning the discipline and teamwork that are the hallmarks of a successful marching band. Their hard work and dedication are evident in every performance, making them a beloved fixture at contests, fetes, bonfire processions, massed band events, and more. BHMY’s commitment to excellence has also seen them enjoy annual residential trips that further enrich their experience and bond as a team.
Whether you’re a local resident, a music enthusiast, or simply someone who enjoys a good show, this event is not to be missed. The BHMY will be showcasing a dynamic selection of musical pieces, complete with impressive marching displays that demonstrate the skills and dedication of these young performers.

Carol Concert – Sussex A Cappella, Sussex Kings of Harmony: The Sussex Harmonisers are an established a cappella male and female society of singers, featuring the Barbershop style. The female chorus rehearses on Monday evenings whilst the men rehearse on Tuesdays. Both choruses have their own repertoire of songs, though we take any opportunity to sing together at gigs and concerts!
The club is a registered Charity and teaches, competes and performs at community, public and private events throughout the year. We also compete with great success at national level at the annual convention of the British Association of Barbershop Singers.
