Instructions for amending areas of the website (30/9/22)
These notes are available from the main menu, but is not visible unless you are logged in
Sidebar (RH part of the page)
Various parts of this sidebar are set up by use of post categories
Services
This part of the sidebar is a post with a category of ‘services’
Services are normally maintained by Mike
Events
The events section normally shows Concerts but can show Events.
There is a single post named ‘Concerts’ with a category of ‘events’.
As concerts change just change the content.
If there is no concert, change the category to ‘uncategorized’ and it will not show.
In the post the main ‘Concert’ page is linked from the post.
To add an event, such as Remembrance, add a new post with a category of ‘events’.
When it is over, reset the category to uncategorized.
Page visits
Details of page visits are shown in the sidebar, but only for logged in users.
Main pages
Concerts (main menu page)
The page is linked from the concerts post on the sidebar.
The image should be a jpg not a pdf as pdf’s do not display well
Who’s who
This is now a table on the page, rather than using a separate table application, so each cell can be amended as necessary.
There are extra lines included in the table to make it legible.
If new entries are needed please contact Mike to add the lines into the table.
Bells
A blank page has been added. When there is content I will add it to the menu
Music
A blank page has been added. When there is content I will add it to the menu
Links
When adding a link, choose a colour for the link text otherwise it will not show.
