Mothers Union

The Mothers’ Union was founded in 1879 and today has over 1 million members in 70 countries – making it the World’s largest voluntary women’s organisation. We are united by a common commitment to Christian family life, and by the custom of the cycle of midday prayers.

Membership is open to both men and women (married, single, separated or divorced; with or without children) who have been baptised and support the aims and objectives of the society.

The Burgess Hill branch of the Mothers’ Union has members from St John’s, St Edward’s and St Andrew’s. There is a social meeting every month, alternating between evenings and afternoons. Timings and venues are advertised in the Parish Magazine.
